University of Hohenheim’s 52 million euro project pursues new approach in basic research on livestock / Hohenheim Center for Livestock Microbiome Research unique in Europe

The German Research Foundation (DFG) has granted almost three million euros for the second phase of the P-FOWL research group (FOR 2601). Since 2017, the participating scientists have been researching how laying hens can optimally utilize phosphorus from plant sources. Six interdisciplinary departments are involved at the University of Hohenheim receiving around 2.3 million euros funding.
